Reading Stool
We create a multifunctional folding chair . When people want to read for a brief time session , the only thing to do is to unfold the chair , and there is a comfortable seat with a storage space for books and personal items. This chair can eliminate the difficulty to find a suitable reading spot and provide a better reading experience.
Styling Ideas
The seat of the chair draws inspiration from books. Serving as a literary bridge within the library,enabling readers to experience a profound reading journey as soon as they take a seat.Also,the legs of the chair are inspired by the deep compression structure of chromosomes, symbolizing the accumulation of knowledge. Transforming the accumulation of knowledge and the experience of reading into a chair, so that readers are able to feel the depth and abundance of knowledge.
Design Features
The seat is designed with grooves to make it easier and more convenient for users to retrieve books. There's also a storage space for users to place their books and personal items. Additionally, support bars are added to the drawer to prevent books from falling. Crossbars are added to the chair legs to enhance overall visual consistency and stability with an X-shaped design.
Overall Planning
We design plain storage cabinets for the chairs. Cabinet with wheels can enhance the flexibility and the staff can easily move them. Considering to make the most of the space and to readers’ convenience, we will place the chair storage area next to the bookshelf, which can also increase the application of the chairs.We hope that in the future, we can collaborate with libraries, by engrave or print particular library names on the custom-made chair, to enhance the library's brand image.
